MS Special Education Paraprofessional

Job Type:  Full Time (29 ½ Hours / Week)

Position Area:  Support Staff / Special Education Instructional Assistant

Description:
Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, the paraprofessional will assist certified professional staff with special education students in the classroom and the resource room to meet academic goals and objectives.

The individual selected for this position will be expected to:

1. Assist and guide students to reinforce daily tasks. 

2. Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning to meet individualized educational goals.

3. Assist with classroom management to ensure students are on task.

4. Monitor non-instructional areas such as the lunch room or restrooms as needed.
