Covington Crazies will have a chance to win a free pizza!! Each CHS student that comes to the game on Friday, 1/21/22 will need to see Mr. Brown to get a raffle ticket. Tickets will be drawn at half time of the Varsity game. 5 Winners will be announced!
Those athletes who think they have earned enough points for a letter jacket at the end of this season need to see Mrs. Brown by the end of the day Friday (tomorrow).
Honor jacket fitting will be Monday, January 24th during homeroom. Please check the list on the guidance office window. An email reminder will be sent out Monday morning.
Students may check the lists on the guidance office window for Honor Jacket, chevron, and honor pin award winners. If you think you earned an award and you are not listed, please check with Mrs. Myers or Mrs. Brown.
Tuesday, January 25th – all 9th graders will be taking the PSAT 8:00-11:45 (they will not be in class periods 1 through homeroom). Do not turn students in as absent – the teachers testing will send Stephanie absences.
Wednesday, Feb 2nd – Doug’s Studio will be here to take senior portraits.
Thursday, Feb 3rd – all 10th graders will attend the CTE/vocational presentation at 1:00 (in the MPR) – should last about 45 minutes.
Wednesday, March 2nd – all 11th graders will be taking the SAT (state accountability test).
Doug’s Studio will be here from 10:00 am to approximately 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 2nd to take senior portraits. These pictures are for the yearbook, wall composite, and announcing graduates in the newspapers. Please be sure to dress appropriately (guys in collared shirts and ties and girls school appropriate). If you are absent that day, you will need to contact Doug’s Studio to set up an appointment to get your picture taken.

The 8th grade boys basketball team ended their season last Thursday. They finished 13-4. Players were Seth Ellmore, Landon Herzog, Coy Martin, Nash Martin. (7th graders that played up were Kayden Smith, Creux Rieman, and Beau Bishop.)

The 2022 CHS Cheer Clinic will take place Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in the High School MPR. Check in begins at 9:00 am. Participants must be registered by January 26th to guarantee a t-shirt. Walk-ins are welcome on the day of, but will not receive a t-shirt that day. PreK through 8th graders are welcome! Stop by the office to pick up a registration form if you are interested.
Homecoming Dress up Days: Friday – Crazie Black and Gold Day
Middle School Student Council will be sponsoring a middle school semi-formal dance on Saturday, January 29th, in the Middle School Gym from 6-8. Cost to enter is $5…tickets will be sold at the door. Only students in 6th-8th grade from Covington are allowed to attend. The theme of the dance is masquerade. The concession stand will be selling food and drinks during the dance. You can also purchase pictures for $1 each, so make sure to bring extra money if you want food, drinks, or pictures!
Attention 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Girls: The CHS Dance Team Winter Dance Clinic 2022 is scheduled for Saturday, January 22nd from noon to 2:00 pm in the MPR. For more information…stop by the middle school office to pick up a registration form.

The mandate for masking on a bus has been extended through Spring Break.
We need your Proof of Residency. Please bring in a document (ex: utility, cell phone, hospital bill) with your current address, you may also send it in with your child. We also need a Birth Certificate, it may be one they give you from the hospital. A letter has been mailed for the items above, if you have not provided them to the office. Not everyone will receive the letter.
If your child has congestion, runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or headache please do NOT send them to school. They will be sent home. Please plan a minimum of 48 hours and then call the attendance line with a full report before sending them back to school. The attendance line may be utilized 24/7. Thank you for your cooperation. CROSSING GUARDS AND CAR RIDER DOORS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 7:50 – 8:00 IN THE MORNING. After this time, please drive around to the front of the building to drop off your child for school.
