High School Life Skills/Special Education Long Term Substitute Teacher

Description: Covington High School is seeking a qualified applicant to join our life skills department. The person of hire would initially begin as an aide and then transition to a full time substitute until the end of the year.

The individual selected for this position will be expected to:

1. Facilitate effective lessons
2. Provide support for academic, behavioral, social emotional, and adaptive needs
3. Respect students and treat them with compassion and understanding
4. Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive
   environment
5. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, staff, and parents
6. Attend case conference meetings
7. Show commitment and professionalism through attendance, punctuality, and
   standards within your professional responsibilities
8. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
