The role will provide services to the students of the middle school by assisting students, families, and teacher address issues that may be affecting a child’s emotional well-being and academic performance.
Put the needs of children first, foremost, and at all times by a. Providing training for teachers and parents. b. Assessing students for any number of issues, such as substance abuse. c. Providing crisis management. d. Supporting a multidisciplinary team treatment plan. e. Conducting individual student assessment and program sessions. f. Conducting student group assessment program sessions.
Complying with all rules and regulations as set forth in Board policy;
Maintaining the appropriate documentation as set forth in school district policy, state and federal regulations’
Professionally representing the school district at all times when interacting with students, parents, staff, and school – community members;
Reporting safety concerns and hazards immediately to supervisor;
Maintaining the appropriate certifications and training hours as required;
Complying with applicable school district, state, local, and federal laws, rules, and regulations;
Attending work regularly and on time;
Attending meetings, in – service, staff, etc…;
Collaborating and Communicating as a member of the school corporation student services team;
Performing other duties related to serving the emotional well-being of the individual child; and
Performing other duties as assigned by the building principal and/or superintendent. Job Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, at a minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work related field.
3 – 5 years of social work experience (Relevant experience will be considered).
A proven history of successful work with at – risk students.
Best practice collaboration and communication skills.
Proven ability to work with a high level of flexibility.
Commitment to a student – centered approach.

Job Summary
In this role the selected individual
will work closely with the food services team in preparing nutritious meals in
accordance with state and federal guidelines for students and staff, while
ensuring a safe and clean environment for cooking, serving, and working.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a high
school diploma, or General Education Diploma (GED);
Have a minimum of
3 – 5 years of proven success in the food services industry;
Be able to work
well with others from diverse backgrounds, through the use of positive and
effective interpersonal skills;
Have the ability
to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals, including the ability to compute rate,
ratio, percent, and volume;
Have a general
knowledge of computer usage and the ability to utilize e-mail, internet software,
and word processing software;
Have a proven
record of successfully working in a team environment.
Have the ability
to attain certifications as determined by the school district and / or state of
Indiana, such as CPR/First Aid certification; and
Have the skillset
to effectively communicate across various levels, students, parents, peers,
administrators, and school – community members.

counting totals, with the entering of data into the computer system, as
necessary;

by the school district, state, and federal government, in a timely manner;
Provide
assistance for meals related to the needs of special diets;
Professionally
represent the school district at all times when interacting with students,

Instructional Aides
Covington Community School Corporation anticipates
having openings for instructional aides for the 2020 – 2021 school year. Potential needs would be for the general (all
schools) and the music (elementary school) classrooms. Instructional aides work to assist the
licensed instructor in ensuring rigorous and relevant educational opportunities
are provided to our children, while also performing other duties as identified
by building administration.
