Good morning CMS.

Lunch today is Calzones, Baby Carrots with Ranch and Apple Crisp.
Breakfast tomorrow will be Breakfast Pizza.

The Covington middle school girls tennis had a good match with Attica last night. Winners were Kendall Shumaker, Claire Jacobs, and Glennys McGurk.

The track team had their first meet of the season and came away with 2nd place at bi-county! Everyone worked as a team and did a great job!!! Event winners were Landon Herzog in High Jump and the 400, Ben Stewart in Discus, Preslei Lazzell in the 200, and the 4×400 Relay Team of Allie Hunt, Sarah Sowers, Andrea Estes, and Halen McBride.

Fifth Annual Street Festival:

More than 70 vendor spaces – filled with food trucks, vendor booths, activities, tasty treats, delicious eats, handcrafted trinkets and finds, local artisans, and mobile boutiques.
Live entertainment, prizes, music, bubbles, foam party, dunk tank, win-a-fish, pie-in-the-face-auction, Dino Dash featuring CCSC, musicians, bands, FREE bounce houses, pony rides, exotic animal show, local shopping and more!

CHS Cheer and CHS Dance Team will be participating as vendors for face painting, etc. The Dance Team will also be involved with the pies, and we’re super hopeful our dino dashers, from CCSC faculty, will be back in action, too!

MS Band Concert is this Friday, April 29th at 7:00 PM.

All 8th grade students remember to submit your Hanging Rock Waiver and Permission slip by Friday at the latest to Mrs. Young.

Danville Area Community College is sponsoring a College For Kids Camp in June and July. Please stop by the office to pick up a flyer if you are interested.

All middle school library books need to be returned by Friday, May 13th. If you need a book to read after May 13th, you will have to borrow one from your teacher’s classroom or the public library.

Any 8th grade girl wanting to play HS volleyball this fall needs to see Ms. Ahrens to sign up and pick up fundraising info.

All current 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in a career in law enforcement, Indiana Sheriffs Association is hosting a Leadership Camp at Pine Creek Campgrounds on June 13th through June 16th or Waycross Episcopal Camp on June 28th through June 30th. If you would like an application they will be posted in the office, for additional information contact Mrs. Young.

Attention current 6th and 7th grade girls interested in participating in middle school cheer next year. Please sign up and grab a flyer from the office. Sign ups are open until May 13th!

Parents:
Please send in/email proof of residency for your student (if you haven’t already). Document must have your address and a current date on it. Examples are a current utility bill, telephone bill, tax return, medical bill or similar information that provides a verifiable address with a clearly identified and readable date.
