The Covington Middle School Baseball Team split a Doubleheader at Attica Friday Night. Losing a heartbreak loss in Game 1 by a score of 10-9. The boys came from 3 down in the top of the 5th and tried it up 9-9, but gave up the winning run in the bottom of the inning. In game 2 the boys won 9-6. We are 4-3 on the season with a contest against North Vermillion on Thursday, May 5th at 5:30 at the Trojan Complex. Come out and support your Covington Middle School Baseball team and the Covington Rec league. Cost is $2 admission. Hope to see a lot of you in the stands Thursday. Thank You Coach Doug.

CHS Cheer and CHS Dance Team will be participating as vendors for face painting, etc. The Dance Team will also be involved with the pies, and we’re super hopeful our dino dashers, from CCSC faculty, will be back in action, too!

Danville Area Community College is sponsoring a College For Kids Camp in June and July. Please stop by the office to pick up a flyer if you are interested.

All middle school library books need to be returned by Friday, May 13th. If you need a book to read after May 13th, you will have to borrow one from your teacher’s classroom or the public library.

All current 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in a career in law enforcement, Indiana Sheriffs Association is hosting a Leadership Camp at Pine Creek Campgrounds on June 13th through June 16th or Waycross Episcopal Camp on June 28th through June 30th. If you would like an application they will be posted in the office, for additional information contact Mrs. Young.

Attention current 6th and 7th grade girls interested in participating in middle school cheer next year. Please sign up and grab a flyer from the office. Sign ups are open until May 13th!

Please send in/email proof of residency for your student (if you haven’t already). Document must have your address and a current date on it. Examples are a current utility bill, telephone bill, tax return, medical bill or similar information that provides a verifiable address with a clearly identified and readable date.
