Good morning CMS
Lunch today is BBQ Rib Sandwich on a Bun, MIxed Vegetables, French Fries and Milk.
Breakfast on Monday will be Egg Omelet with Toast.
The MS tennis team defeated Fountain Central last night. Winning for the Trojans in singles were Malah Bridwell, Norah Freeman and Meredith Wright. In doubles action Covington winners were Piper Ferguson and Remi Strawser, Madi Holycross and Annalyse Slider, Nikki Gerling and Vida Pettit, and Audrey Wolfe and Abby Walters. Good job by all girls. Next match is Monday when Trojans host Parke Heritage.
The MS track team ran Bi-County last night at Seeger. Girls won the meet and the boys placed fourth as a team. Congrats to the following bi-county winners: Haley Rottmann-Long Jump, Alexia Lustig-Shot Put and Discus, Kaley Lewsader- High Jump, Preslei Lazzell-100 and 200, and the 4×100 relay team of Kayley Lewsader, Haley Rottmann, Sophia Scott-Musa, and Preslei Lazzell. Also helping the team to a win was Ezrah Roop, Aleea Hernandez, Sarah Sowers, Arya Chadd, Abby Webster, and Mackenzie Hauck. Way to go girls!!! The boys worked hard and had good performances too! We are proud of all of you!!! No practice today!
The CMS Student Council is planning a food drive for the local food bank. This food drive will run May 6th – May 10th. Food should be brought to Mrs. Martin’s classroom. Names will be entered into a drawing for each item brought in (up to 5 entries).

toothbrushes The CMS Awards Program will take place on Thursday, May 23rd at 9:00am in the MPR.
Students may be signed out by their parents at the conclusion of the program; however, students may not be signed out by anyone else. If your child is planning to leave with someone other than a parent, we are requiring a signed note (not a phone call) be sent in by Wednesday, May 22nd.
*Before students leave on the 23rd, social studies projects must be turned in.
There is a boys tennis callout meeting today during lunch.
All Middle School library books need to be returned by Friday, May 10th. If you need a book to read after May 10th, you will have to borrow one from your teacher’s classroom or the public library.
