Covington High School Announcements

The track team competed in a 4-team meet with Armstrong, Oakwood & Westville last night. The girls placed 2nd as a team, and the boys placed 3rd as a team. Congrats to the following event winners: Bernadette Goeppner in the 1600, Ashlynn Livengood in the 110 hurdles, Lexi Slider in high jump, Micah Stonecipher in discus, Bradley Lewsader in high jump, Wyatt Woodrow in the 1600, and the boys 4×800 relay of Mason Duprey, Whylee Goulding, Pierce Whiteman & Wyatt Woodrow. Other Trojans with top 3 finishes include: Jonas Burris-Bunch, Summer Krepton, Lauren Vale & Nick Ferati. The next meet is the Covington Invitational on Saturday.

The Covington girls tennis team defeated Parke Heritage last night 4-1. Varsity winners were Peyton Brown, Cora Reynolds, Karsyn Engle, Emma Taylor, Addison Streuer, and Isabella Lynch.
JV winners were Reis Lewsader, Trinity Cope, Anna Corra, and Emily Bonner.

CHS Cheer and CHS Dance Team will be participating as vendors for face painting, etc. The Dance Team will also be involved with the pies, and we’re super hopeful our dino dashers, from CCSC faculty, will be back in action, too!

Covington City Pool is looking for summer help! If you are interested in being a Lifeguard and/or working concessions, pick up an application in the High School office!

Shelton’s Fireworks will be hiring 16 year old’s and up to work for the upcoming Fourth of July season(June 1st- July 4th). Pay will be $12 an hour with the opportunity for overtime closer to the 4th of July. Students may pick up an application at any time at Shelton’s.
