Covington High School Announcements

• Track team: the buses will leave at 3:45 today.

• Prom Committee meeting today during Homeroom in the Commons.

• THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO PURCHASE PROM TICKETS!!    Please see Mrs. Hohenstein to purchase your ticket(s).  TABLES ARE FILLING UP FAST!!!

Ticket price:   $35 each

Any student who will be bringing someone from another school will need to pick up a form from Mrs. Hohenstein.  There is also a form parents need to sign, if you are planning to attend after prom.

If you are driving a vehicle to school and do not have a parking tag for it, please come to the high school office and get a parking tag. THEY ARE FREE!!

The 2022-23 CHS Yearbook is on sale now thru April 15th.  The cost is $50.  You may see Mr. Craig Sowers for an order form, or pick one up in the high school office.  You may also order online at yearbookforever.com

OPPORTUNITY

SPORTS NEWS:

Congratulations to the girls tennis team for their come from behind win over Fountain Central last night 3-2.  Kendall Shumaker had a 3-set win at #3 singles.  Isabella Lynch and Trinity Cope had a solid win at #2 doubles.  With the team score at 2-2, Addison Streuer and Lilly Hacquet pulled out a long hard fought match at #1 doubles to give the team their win.  JV winners were Jayln Allen, Glennys McGurk, Rhyane Beck, Lydia Bennett, Julianna Girdler.

    The girls tennis team defeated Attica this past Thursday 5-0.  Varsity winners were Peyton Brown,  

    Halle Grady, Kendall Shumaker, Isabella Lynch, Trinity Cope, Addison Scheuer, and Lilly Hacquet.

The track team competed in a 3-team with Attica and North Vermillion,last Thursday evening. The boys finished 1st as a team, and the girls finished 2nd as a team.  Congrats to the following event winners: Lexi Slider in the high jump & the 400, Ashlyn Livengood in the 100 meter hurdles, Bradley Lewsader in the high jump & the 800, Averey Powell in the 200, Grissom Cope in the 400, Wyatt Woodrow in the 1600, Nick Ferati in the long jump & the 110 

    meter hurdles, the 4×800 relay of Bradley Lewsader, Asher Cadman, Austin Bechtold & Wyatt

    Woodrow, the 4×100 relay of Nick Ferati, Bleron Saliji, Austin Bechtold & Averey Powell, and

    the 4×400 relay of Bradley Lewsader, Austin Bechtold, Averey Powell & Wyatt Woodrow.  

   Great job Covington track team!
