Covington High School Announcements
The Graduation Line-up and Stage Committees are meeting in the Foods Room during Home
Room on Friday NOT today.
Those athletes who think they’ve earned enough points for their athletic jacket need to see Mrs. Brown by the end of the day Monday, May 7th.
There will be a Boys Basketball Meeting on Tuesday, May 10th during homeroom in Mr. Morgan’s room. This is for anyone planning on playing basketball next year. If you cannot attend, you need to pick up the summer information from Mr. Morgan’s room.
Senior awards night is Wednesday, May 11th at 7:00 in the MPR. All seniors are encouraged to attend.
The Senior play will be Friday, May 13, at 6:30pm. Admission is $3.
There will be a Football Kickoff Meeting on Monday, May 23rd, 2022 @6:30 in the cafeteria.
The Covington Football Program is on the hunt for all student-athletes, managers, parents/guardians, and community members interested in participating in the CHS Football Program! No Experience Necessary & New Players Welcome! All parents of current players,
and parents of kids who may be interested need to be present!
Steel Grip is hiring for the summer; applicants must be 18 years old. If interested, contact Jason Beck at 765-585-2080.
Covington City Pool is looking for summer help! If you are interested in being a Lifeguard and/or working concessions, pick up an application in the High School office!
Shelton’s Fireworks will be hiring 16 year old’s and up to work for the upcoming Fourth of July season(June 1st- July 4th). Pay will be $12 an hour with the opportunity for overtime closer to the 4th of July. Students may pick up an application at any time at Shelton’s.

CHS Cheer and CHS Dance Team will be participating as vendors for face painting, etc. The Dance Team will also be involved with the pies, and we’re super hopeful our dino dashers, from CCSC faculty, will be back in action, too!
Registration is open for the 2022 Covington 4th of July Celebration pageants! This competition is open to dedicated and empowered young women between 15 and 20 to compete and gain invaluable experience. Interested contestants must reside in Fountain, Warren, Vermillion, or Montgomery county as well as have an interest in growing their confidence and public speaking skills. The pageant will take place on Tuesday, June 28th at 7:30pm at the Covington City Park on opening night of the 62nd annual Covington 4th of July Celebration – a festival full of FREE entertainment, delicious food, and fun carnival rides. Please visit covingtonfourthofjuly.org to complete an application and more information. The newly crowned Queen will receive a $200 scholarship as part of her winnings! Deadline to register is June 10th.
Younger pageant age groups are also open for registration – Little Miss Sparkler (ages 6-10) and Miss Firecracker (ages 11-14). Contact covington4thofjulypageant@gmail.com with questions.
