It’s time to clean out your change jars to vote for your favorite senior football player to kiss the pig at the homecoming pep session on Friday, September 30th. Jars with each senior player’s name are in the CHS office waiting for your money! The player with the most money at the end of the week will give a big ol’ smooch to a cute little piggy!

All fall play cast members will do a reading of the play TODAY at 3:15. Please make plans to be there. Also, anyone interested in being an extra in the play should see Ms. Sebastian for information.

This year, the WRC Choral Festival will be held on Thursday, October 6th, at Seeger Jr./Sr. High School. The choir will be leaving CHS around 11:00am, and will return to Covington around 8:30-9:00pm. This year’s CHS Choir consists of the following students:
Savannah Bishop Ariana Bullinger
Zachary Eaton Hailey Hoaks
Aiden Miller Rorie Ragsdale

Teachers, please make sure that these students receive any necessary homework, notes, etc. either before or after the festival at your discretion. Please note that for the choir students, attending this event is a required component of the choir class.

If you would like to attend the WRC Festival concert that night, it will begin at 7pm at Seeger HS. I will begin a pre-sale of the concert tickets on Monday October 3rd (students $2, adults $3), with at-the-door tickets costing $5.

Please contact Mr. Tschetter if you have any questions.

.
Student Council is selling Little Caesars Pizza kits now through
October 20th. Please see Jodee Brown for order details.

A Golf Cart Parade in memory of Colton Wright, a 2016 Covington High School graduate, will take place during the Homecoming Parade on Friday, September 30. Awards will be handed out immediately following the parade at the Covington Park by the playground (at the picnic table built in memory of Colton.) Community members are encouraged to participate and decorate their golf cart. Those who want to participate and do not want to decorate their cart are still encouraged to attend. Lineup is at the Covington Park at 4 p.m. Parade begins at 5 p.m.

Let’s make this the biggest and best CHS Homecoming parade we can in honor of Colton who loved golf carts. Colton and Lauren Paddock were the 2016 CHS Homecoming Attendant and Queen.

First Church of Christ in Covington will be continuing the Coats For Kids ministry this year. Last year they gave away nearly 400 coats of all sizes, along with hats and gloves. The giveaway will be held at the 5th St Church of Christ, October 23-28, with times of 9 am to 4 pm.
