Covington High School Announcements

  • The Livestock skillathon team of Kaedeyn Lawson, Eli Holmes, Jalyn Allen, and Kerria Smith placed 5th overall in the Area 9 contest last night at Benton Central. Good effort by all.
  • Athletic Department Golf Scramble – September 17th @ 1:00 pm at Rivercrest Golf Course.
  • School pictures will be Wednesday, September 20th.
  • Seeger is hosting a College and Skilled Trades Fair on Tuesday, September 26th from 6-8 pm in the PAC.  Tech/Trade Schools and 4-year colleges/universities will be in attendance.  Juniors and seniors, along with their parents, are invited to attend.
Danville Area Community College is bringing Family Science Night back this fall!Have you ever wondered why hot air balloons float and submarines sink? How about investigating what makes a light bulb light or how to make slime? Do you know how much you weigh on Jupiter, Saturn, or Mars? Come to Family Science Night at DACC to find out the answers to these questions and many more. The Trojans Volleyball team made quick work of Fountain Central on Thursday, winning 25-7, 25-14, 25-6 in WRC Conference play.  Maddix Minick had 7 kills, while Alex Sutherlin had 6 kills and 10 digs, Peyton Brown had 19 assists, 11 digs and 4 aces and Ashlyn Alexander had 9 digs and 6 aces.

The Trojans are 14-5 and 5-0 in the WRC and will play in the Lafayette Jefferson tournament on Saturday.

Spirit Week Monday 11th-15th Friday – Anything but a backpack – black and gold

You may vote/nominate for the best dressed for Dynamic Duo and Adam Sandler dress up days in the HS office. Students can enter names for whoever they think is best dressed on those days & the winners will be announced at the end of the day and prizes will be given out. 

Clean out your change jars; it’s time for the Kiss the Pig Contest! All senior football players have a jar with their name on it in the High School office. Throughout the week, drop your dollars and cents to your favorite player to see who will give a big ‘ol smooch to a cute little pig at Friday’s Homecoming Pep Session on the square!
