Covington High School Announcements

NO SCHOOL MONDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH 

• Sophomore Class shirt order forms are available in the art room.

• BOYS BASKETBALL CALLOUT – SEPTEMBER 5th during Homeroom in the VARSITY GYM.

• GIRLS BASKETBALL CALLOUT– SEPTEMBER 14th during Homeroom in the COMMONS.

• Seeger is hosting a College and Skilled Trades Fair on Tuesday, September 26th from 6 – 8 pm in the PAC.  Tech/Trade Schools and 4-year colleges/universities will be in attendance.  Juniors and seniors, along with their parents, are invited to attend.

Any junior or senior interested in meeting with a representative from one of the following colleges needs to sign up on the google sheet Mrs. Brown shared with you – please check your email!

• Vincennes University – Monday, September 11th
• Indiana State University – Tuesday, September 12th
• Depauw University – Thursday, September 14th
• Ball State – Tuesday, September 19th
• Purdue University – Thursday, October 5th
  • All meetings are in the glass room during homeroom.

The Boys tennis team defeated Attica 5-0 last night. Winning in singles were Urban Roarks, Carson Schaeffer, and Luke Holycross. Winning in doubles for the Trojans were Goodrich/Cope and Stewart/Webster. Practice tonight till 4:30. 

Covington Boys Soccer improved to 5-0 for the season with a win against a tough North White squad this evening!  The teams were tied 1-1 after the first half, but the Trojans held them scoreless the second half with the help of an amazing save by goalkeeper, Nash Martin.  Final score: 2-1!   

• Goals: Kolten Haymaker and Gavin Jacobs.
• Assist: Austin Stein.
• Next game is at home on Saturday at 10am vs Danville IL.

Girls Golf:  Seeger defeated Covington last night. Their team score was 232. Four of their five girls shot 58. Sydni Crain was medalist with a 44. Covington shot a 180 between our three girls.
