Covington High School Announcements

• There will be a meeting during Homeroom TODAY in the Art Room for anyone interested in designing, taking pictures for or being involved in the high school yearbook.

• Seniors:   If you want to serve on a committee this year, the paper is due TODAY!

• Any Senior who did not attend the Jostens Meeting on Wednesday should pick up a packet

from Mr. Stockberger or Miss Davis TODAY!

• Freshmen – if you are  interested in helping build the float for homecoming, the sign up sheet is in the HS office. 

Any junior or senior interested in meeting with a representative from one of the following colleges needs to sign up on the google sheet Mrs. Brown shared with you – please check your email!

• Vincennes University – Monday, September 11th
• Indiana State University – Tuesday, September 12th
• Purdue University – Thursday, October 5th
  • All meetings are in the glass room during homeroom.

Young ladies between the ages of 16-21 years of age are eligible to compete in the Covington Apple Fest Queen Contest. The deadline to enter is August 23.  To receive information, please contact Amy Thompson at 765.585.5945 or amyjothompson18@gmail.com.  The pageant will be held at First Baptist Church at 2 p.m.  The Covington Apple Fest will be held September 30. A practice will be held Sunday, August 20 from 2-4 p.m. at First Baptist Church.  This practice is not mandatory but is encouraged.

The boys tennis at Covington lost to Western Boone 5-0. Results to follow 

1 singles:  G Hawkins of Webo defeated U Roarks  6-2 6-1

2 singles:  B. Warmouth Webo defeated C Schaeffer 7-5,6-2 

3 singles: J Rutherford Webo defeated L Holycross 6-0, 6-2

1 doubles:  Knox/Petro of Webo defeated Goodrich/Cope 6-0,6-0

2 doubles:  Prickett/Mitchell of Webo defeated Stewart/Webster 6-1,6-2

The Trojans will travel to West Vigo for the  Viking Tennis Invitational on Saturday.
