Covington High School Announcements

The boys’ track team competed in sectionals last night. Congratulations to Bradley Lewsader on being the sectional champion in the high jump! Bradley also advanced to regionals in the 800 meter run. Good luck to Bradley at regionals next Thursday! Congrats to the rest of the team on a successful track season!

TEACHERS – SENIORS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE “SENIOR PRANK” SHOULD BE DISMISSED DURING HOMEROOM FOR CLEANUP

SENIORS – PLEASE RETURN YOUR PARKING TAGS TO OFFICER CATES!!!

Any Senior who would like to attend the Alumni Banquet on June 4, needs to make reservations with Miss Davis by Friday, May 20. This is free for you.

STUDENTS – THERE IS A TABLE IN FRONT OF THE OFFICE IN THE COMMONS FOR LOST AND FOUND ITEMS TO BE CLAIMED. IF YOU HAVE LOST ANYTHING DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE CHECK THE TABLE TO SEE IF IT WAS TURNED IN!

 Don’t forget the drawing for the  BOX of SNACKS being 

raffled in the High School Office until the end of the school
year. $1 per ticket gives you a chance to win ALL THE SNACKS!!! The winning ticket will be drawn at the end of today!

ATTENTION STUDENTS: THE VARSITY GYM WILL BE CLOSED DURING LUNCH FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. THE MPR WILL BE OPEN.

Any student wanting/needing to take summer school for credit recovery should see Mrs. Myers ASAP. Summer school begins on Tuesday, May 31st and ends Thursday, June 16th.

The vending machine snacks are now located in
the High School office. All snacks are $.25 each!

UPCOMING:

There will be a Football Kickoff Meeting on Monday, May 23rd, 2022 @6:30 in the cafeteria.
The Covington Football Program is on the hunt for all student-athletes, managers, parents/guardians, and community members interested in participating in the CHS Football Program! No Experience Necessary & New Players Welcome! All parents of current players,
and parents of kids who may be interested need to be present!

HIRING:

Steel Grip is hiring for the summer; applicants must be 18 years old. If interested, contact Jason Beck at 765-585-2080.
Covington City Pool is looking for summer help! If you are interested in being a Lifeguard and/or working concessions, pick up an application in the High School office!
Shelton’s Fireworks will be hiring 16 year old’s and up to work for the upcoming Fourth of July season(June 1st- July 4th). Pay will be $12 an hour with the opportunity for overtime closer to the 4th of July. Students may pick up an application at any time at Shelton’s.
McDonald’s is hiring for various positions – – You may apply via text by sending Code IN442 to 38000.

Parents: Please send in/email proof of residency for your student (if you haven’t already). Document must have your address and a current date on it. Examples are a current utility bill, telephone bill, tax return, medical bill or similar information that provides a verifiable address with a clearly identified
and readable date.
