Covington High School Announcements

TONIGHT IS THE SENIOR PLAY! COME ONE COME ALL! Admission is $3.

The track team competed in the 8-team WRC meet last night. The girls placed 4th and the boys placed 6th as a team. Unfortunately, no athlete earned All-Conference. Honorable mention honors go to Ashlynn Livengood placing 2nd in the 100 & 300 hurdles, Bradley Lewsader placing 2nd in high jump & the 800, Lexi Slider placing 2nd in high jump, and the girls’ 4×100 relay of Ashlynn Livengood, Lily Mullins, Kennedie Cadman & Summer Krepton also placing 2nd. The sectional meet will be on Tuesday for girls and Thursday for boys at Benton Central.–

Covington Girls Tennis lost a close match to Lebanon last night 2-3. Varsity winners were Karsyn Engle, Emma Taylor, Addison Streuer, and Lilly Hacquet.
Junior Varsity winners were Isabella Lynch, Reis Lewsader, Kali Pettit, Anna Corra, and Trinity Cope.

UPCOMING:

Covington Crazy Clovers 4-H meeting, May 16th at 6:00 pm in Miss Davis’ classroom.
There will be a Football Kickoff Meeting on Monday, May 23rd, 2022 @6:30 in the cafeteria.
The Covington Football Program is on the hunt for all student-athletes, managers, parents/guardians, and community members interested in participating in the CHS Football Program! No Experience Necessary & New Players Welcome! All parents of current players,
and parents of kids who may be interested need to be present!

HIRING:

Steel Grip is hiring for the summer; applicants must be 18 years old. If interested, contact Jason Beck at 765-585-2080.
Covington City Pool is looking for summer help! If you are interested in being a Lifeguard and/or working concessions, pick up an application in the High School office!
Shelton’s Fireworks will be hiring 16 year old’s and up to work for the upcoming Fourth of July season(June 1st- July 4th). Pay will be $12 an hour with the opportunity for overtime closer to the 4th of July. Students may pick up an application at any time at Shelton’s.
McDonald’s is hiring for various positions – – You may apply via text by sending Code IN442 to 38000.
