Working Together for Children

If your child has congestion, runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, or headache please do NOT send them to school. They will be sent home. Please plan a minimum of 48 hours and then call the attendance line with a full report before sending them back to school. The attendance line may be utilized 24/7. Thank you for your cooperation. Nurse Pinkerton

Please leave a detailed message on the attendance line for absences including symptoms; otherwise, the Nurse will be calling you back.

We need a proof of residency. Please bring in a document (ex: utility, cell phone, hospital bill) with your current address, you may also send it in with your child.

CROSSING GUARDS AND CAR RIDER DOORS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 7:50 – 8:00 IN THE MORNING. After this time, please drive around to the front of the building to drop off your child for school.

TRANSPORTATION CHANGES NEED TO BE SENT TO THE CHILD’S TEACHER. WE WILL NOT ALLOW STUDENTS TO CHANGE HIS/HER REGULAR ROUTINE WITHOUT A NOTE OR PHONE CALL TO THE OFFICE. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD/REN. DUE TO LIMITED SPACE, IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT A REGULAR BUS RIDER HE/SHE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RIDE THE BUS FOR REASONS SUCH AS SLEEPOVERS OR BIRTHDAY PARTIES, ETC.

TREATS BROUGHT IN FOR THE STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BE PRE-PACKAGED FROM A STORE…

CES are looking for dependable people to join in helping the school. If you are interested in Substitute teaching, please contact Cathy Smith at 765-793-4877.

The annual winter coat give-away in Covington will take place October 19th through October 22nd, 9:00am to 3:00pm (EDT), in the fellowship hall at the First Church of Christ, 615 Fifth street. New and gently used coats (adult and children sizes). Facemasks are required.

TEAM KID at First Baptist Church in Covington. The program is for children ages 3 through 5th grade. The first night will be Wednesday, Sept. 22nd. Program runs from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. We are so excited to have TEAM KID and looking forward to a great year

WABASH RIVER YOUTH LEAGUE GIRLS BASKETBALL FOR GRADES 4TH – 8TH
Permission forms were sent home this week. Please return form and money by October 8th.

CES School pictures will be Wednesday, October 6th. Order forms will be sent home closer to time of pictures.
