**ATTENTION 5TH GRADE GIRLS WHO ARE SIGNED UP FOR THE MIDLE SCHOOL CHEER NEXT SEASON.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE FOR MOCK TRYOUTS. THEY WILL NOW BE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8TH.

Early on-line registration for both Kindergarten and PreK, for the 2022-2023 school year, is now open on the corporation website @ www.covington.k12.in.us

PreK only has openings for the p.m. class. The morning class is full.

CES will be housing the Developmental PreK for Fountain County beginning August of 2022. Please help me in welcoming Mrs. Ashlie Grissom to this new role. This program will support the academic needs of the 3 and 4 year old special education students in our county.

LAST STUDENT DAY FRIDAY, MAY 27TH WE WILL DISMISS AT REGULAR TIME.

We need your Proof of Residency; this is being required by the State of Indiana. Please bring in a document (ex: utility, cell phone, hospital bill) with your current address and dated within 60 days, you may also send it in with your child.
We also need a Birth Certificate, it may be one they give you from the hospital.

If your child has congestion, runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or headache please do NOT send them to school. They will be sent home. Please plan a minimum of 48 hours and then call the attendance line with a full report before sending them back to school. The attendance line may be utilized 24/7. Thank you for your cooperation. CROSSING GUARDS AND CAR RIDER DOORS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 7:50 – 8:00 IN THE MORNING. After this time, please drive around to the front of the building to drop off your child for school.

TRANSPORTATION CHANGES NEED TO BE SENT TO THE CHILD’S TEACHER. WE WILL NOT ALLOW STUDENTS TO CHANGE HIS/HER REGULAR ROUTINE WITHOUT A NOTE OR PHONE CALL TO THE OFFICE. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD/REN. DUE TO LIMITED SPACE, IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT A REGULAR BUS RIDER HE/SHE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RIDE THE BUS FOR REASONS SUCH AS SLEEPOVERS OR BIRTHDAY PARTIES, ETC.

Covington Swim Club is preparing for another great summer. We are a local club for ages 4-14 with all practices and meets taking place at the Covington City Pool. If you are interested, registration forms and calendars can be picked up the Elementary office. Questions can be sent to Mrs. Pineda at pinedas@covington.k12.in.us

Fifth Annual Street Festival —- More than 70 vendor spaces – filled with food trucks, vendor booths, activities, tasty treats, delicious eats, handcrafted trinkets and finds, local artisans, and mobile boutiques. Live entertainment, prizes, music, bubbles, foam party, dunk tank, win-a-fish, pie-in-the-face-action, Dino Dash featuring CCSC, musicians, bands, FREE bounce houses, pony rides, exotic animal show, local shopping and more!

CHS Cheer and CHS Dance Team will both be participating as vendors for face painting, etc. The Dance Team will also be involved with the one of the pies, and we’re super hopeful our dino dashers, from CCSC faculty, will be back in action, too!
