CROSSING GUARDS AND CAR RIDER DOORS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 7:50 – 8:00 IN THE MORNING. After this time, please drive around to the front of the building to drop off your child for school.
TRANSPORTATION CHANGES NEED TO BE SENT TO THE CHILD’S TEACHER. WE WILL NOT ALLOW STUDENTS TO CHANGE HIS/HER REGULAR ROUTINE WITHOUT A NOTE OR PHONE CALL TO THE OFFICE. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD/REN. DUE TO LIMITED SPACE, IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT A REGULAR BUS RIDER HE/SHE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RIDE THE BUS FOR REASONS SUCH AS SLEEPOVERS OR BIRTHDAY PARTIES, ETC.

BACKGROUND CHECKS – If you have been designated by your child’s teacher to go on a field trip. You will need to bring your driver’s license into the CES building and go through a background check. Please DO NOT wait on the day of the field trip!

“Every Trojan Connected” Program
Covington Community School Corporation has a new program for students that do not have Internet access at home. “Every Trojan Connected” offers a limited number of free wireless hotspots for students who demonstrate a need for Internet access to assist with their school work beyond the regular school day. The program is open to any Covington student that is currently enrolled and attending one of the three district schools. Covington Community Foundation and the Hillsboro Nazarene Church will be providing a winter weekend lunch program for older adults in Covington. The program will provide access to 2 nutritious and affordable general diet meals each weekend starting January 7th – March 25th. The cold lunches will include a meat sandwich, salad, fruit, dessert, and milk.
Participant cost will be $1.00 per meal.
The program will be available to Covington residents age 60 and older and their spouses.
Meal delivery will be available within the Covington city limits. Covington seniors who live outside the city limits can arrange for meal pick-up. For more information, please call the Hillsboro Nazarene Church (765) – 798-2350, or (765) 793-7285.
