Covington High School Announcements

Seniors – if you would like to have a senior quote published in the yearbook, please fill out the Google Form that was sent to your email. The deadline is Friday, February 25th.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting in Coach Field’s room after school today from 2:40-3:20.

Flower Gram sales have been extended through Thursday in Ms. Reed’s Room! Order during Lunch – $2 each or 3 for $5. Send a message to a sweetie, friend, teacher or yourself!

Just a reminder that students who ride buses home in the afternoon are not permitted to take home on the bus any item that poses a potential safety issue for the driver, students and/or the operation of the bus. This includes but is not limited to: balloons, flower arrangements, glasses vases, large stuffed animals, and very large items that pose a visual obstruction for the driver. Items received by these students will need to be left at school and picked up by the student’s parent/guardian during normal school hours. Any item deemed to be not allowed on the bus will be taken back to the school office for pick-up at a later date and time.

Those students who have earned additional chevrons for their honor jackets need to turn them in to Mrs. Brown by Friday, February 4th. Please remove pins and empty the pockets. Additional chevrons will be sewn on and the jackets will be cleaned. PLEASE get them turned in on time!!
Students may check the lists on the guidance office window for Honor Jacket, chevron, and honor pin award winners. If you think you earned an award and you are not listed, please check with Mrs. Myers or Mrs. Brown.

TODAY – all 10th graders will attend the CTE/vocational presentation at 1:00 (in the MPR) – should last about 45 minutes.

Feb. 10th – Straight A students Beef House lunch. They will leave at 11:15 and return around 12:45.

Feb. 12th – HS NHS Induction 3 pm.

Wednesday, March 2nd – all 11th graders will be taking the SAT (state accountability test).

Parents: Please send in/email proof of residency for your
student (if you haven’t already). Document must have your
address and a current date on it. Examples are a current utility
bill, telephone bill, tax return, medical bill or similar information
that provides a verifiable address with a clearly identified and readable date.
