Covington High School Announcements
The boys basketball scrimmage that was originally scheduled for this Thursday evening has been moved to this Friday, Nov 22 at 7pm.
Christmas wreaths will arrive this Thursday November 21. All students that sold must pick them up after school.
Covington Crazies shirts are on sale and must be ordered by the end of lunch time tomorrow.
Order forms are available in the high school office.
There will be a Student Council meeting on Monday, November 25 during Homeroom in Mrs. Martin’s room in the middle school.

CHS Athletic Boosters are offering “good luck” ads for your athletes in the winter program. Ads will be $20 for a business card size ad. Josten’s will be here on Tuesday, November 26 to deliver class rings and take orders from Seniors for graduation. They will be in the student lounge from 11:00 to 12:30.
Calling all 7th – 12th graders in 4-H! Join us for the 4-H Jr. Leaders Meeting at the d’Arlier (next to Veedersburg Library) on November 25th at 6:30 pm. We will be assembling care packages for our troops oversea, decorating Christmas Cards and making blankets. This is a great way to get volunteer hours!! Bring a friend or 2 to join in on the fun!
The Salvation Army is in need of students to sign up to be Bell Ringers for the Red Kettle Christmas campaign. Students should check the school website for a link to sign up. Or you may call Sara Wheeler at 765-366-6609.
Covington High School 2020 yearbooks are now on sale. Cost is $45.00. Price increases to $50.00
on November 26, 2019. You may pick up an order form in the high school office or order online
at yearbookforever.com. Deadline date to order is March 20, 2020.

After school snacks for high school fall athletes will be handed out in the
Student lounge Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week.
The City of Covington is collecting new and gently used winter coats (adult and children
sizes) for its annual coat give-away this fall.
As before, we especially need children’s washable coats. Coats may be brought to the City Building, 1329 Second Street, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. The city is also accepting monetary donations for the purchase of winter coats.
The SAT will be offered the morning of Wednesday, March 4th. Any junior or senior interested in taking the test should sign-up in the guidance office. The deadline for signing up and payment is January 29th. The cost is $49.50 (checks payable to Covington High School) – checks should be given to Mrs. Linville. A limited number of fee waivers (cost will still be $8) are available for students who qualify. Students should see Mrs. Myers to request a fee waiver.
Any student wanting to discuss a possible schedule change for 2nd semester should see Mrs. Myers ASAP. The deadline for changes is Friday, December 13th. Parent permission will be required for most schedule changes.

CMS Fall Dance will be Friday, Nov. 22 from 7:00-9:00 pm in the MPR. Tickets will be on sale beginning tomorrow (Friday) in the 6th grade hallway. Tickets are $5. Tickets will be sold at the door for $6. Dress is casual. Bring extra money for concessions and photo booth.
Students: You are not allowed to stop at your lockers first thing in the morning unless you have permission from the office.

CROSSING GUARDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 7:45 – 8:00 IN THE MORNING. If you arrive at school after this time, please drive around to the front of the building to drop your child off for school. Car line and Walker doors are locked after 8:05a.m.

BACKGROUND CHECKS for parents wanting to go on field trips can be obtained through the school website under the Superintendent’s tab. There is a fee for the process. Background checks are good for 2 years.
