Job Description:
Occupational Therapist will be servicing school corporations in the Wabash River Special Services Cooperative which covers Fountain, Parke, Vermillion and/or Warren County, Indiana. |
Job Requirements:
- Provide school-based OT services in multiple school building locations
- Knowledge of supporting students with special education needs/disabilities
- Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws/regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively (both written and orally) with educational personnel, administrators, parents and community members
- Ability to interpret the role of therapeutic intervention within the school setting to educational personnel, administrators, parents and community members
- Ability to document assessment and intervention results as related to the educational goals of the student
- Ability to develop, implement, evaluate, and modify activities for therapeutic intervention within the school setting as appropriate
- Participate as a member of the Case Conference Committee and Evaluation Team member as appropriate
- Monitor and maintain therapy equipment and recommend purchase of necessary therapy and/or assistive devices as appropriate
- Act as a resource person for other therapists, teachers, nurses, and other school personnel
- Complete necessary reports and paperwork as required by Article 7, WRSSC and district schools.

Certification Requirements or Job Qualifications:
- Appropriate Indiana Occupational Therapist Licensure
