Salary will be determined based on education and experience

185 Day Contract/7.5 hours per day (Pro-rated for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year)

Job Description:
Occupational Therapist servicing school corporations in Fountain, Parke, Vermillion and/or Warren County, Indiana.

Job Description:

Occupational Therapist will be servicing school corporations in the Wabash River Special Services Cooperative which covers Fountain, Parke, Vermillion and/or Warren County, Indiana.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide school-based OT services in multiple school building locations
  • Knowledge of supporting students with special education needs/disabilities
  • Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws/regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and orally) with educational personnel, administrators, parents and community members
  • Ability to interpret the role of therapeutic intervention within the school setting to educational personnel, administrators, parents and community members
  • Ability to document assessment and intervention results as related to the educational goals of the student
  • Ability to develop, implement, evaluate, and modify activities for therapeutic intervention within the school setting as appropriate
  • Participate as a member of the Case Conference Committee and Evaluation Team member as appropriate
  • Monitor and maintain therapy equipment and recommend purchase of necessary therapy and/or assistive devices as appropriate
  • Act as a resource person for other therapists, teachers, nurses, and other school personnel
  • Complete necessary reports and paperwork as required by Article 7, WRSSC and district schools.

Certification Requirements or Job Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Indiana Occupational Therapist Licensure

Or, Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
