Position Summary: Covington High School is seeking a head girls basketball coach. Covington is a 2A basketball school and competes in Sectional 38, currently with Carroll, Clinton Prairie, Delphi, Lafayette Central Catholic, and Seeger. The Trojans are coming off an 8-15 record and look to build upon that next season.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Oversee Covington girls’ basketball program from k-12
• Plan and execute weekly/daily practice plans
• Evaluate and help select assistants and youth coaches
• Abide by all IHSAA and Covington rules and regulations
• Communicate effectively with administration, players, and parents
• Record and report inventory of equipment
• Lead off-season/summer workouts
• Model appropriate behavior on and off the court

Qualifications:

• Preferred prior head coaching experience
• Preferred CPR certifications
• NFHS Learn courses
• Effective coaching techniques and skills
