Position Area:  Middle School and High School

Description:  The teacher will instruct middle school and high school physical education and high school health students.

The individual selected for this position will be expected to:

1. Instruct middle school and high school students in PE.
2. Instruct high school students in health.
3. Be well prepared when instructing students.
4. Maintain an organized and safe gym setting.
5. Maintain high expectations for student learning, achievement, and behaviors.
6. Comply with all rules and regulations as set forth in Board policy.
7. Maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration.

The ideal candidate will:

1. Hold a physical education and health education license or have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
2. Effectively communicate across various levels – students, parents, peers, administrators, and community members.
3. Be able to work well with others from diverse backgrounds, through the use of positive and effective interpersonal skills.
4. Be interested in coaching.  The following positions are currently open:  Boys’ Varsity Soccer, Varsity Softball, MS or Assistant level positions in football, boys’ basketball, wrestling, track.
