Description:
The Technology Coordinator is responsible for managing, administering, and repairing various technology issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with school staff by responding to various IT issues, documenting issues, and performing troubleshooting.
- Work with elementary and middle-aged students.
- Work closely with Technology Director to resolve IT related issues.
- Provide technical care for any aspect of information systems, including system hardware, operating systems, applications and networks.
- Serve as a building level contact for any system-related issues.
- Escalate incidents with accurate documentation when required.
- Learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the school corporation.
- Setting up equipment as needed including desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, phones.
- Preventative maintenance and monitoring on hardware and software with appropriate upgrades and updates.
- Help maintain network equipment and network connections.
Job Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience working in an IT Help Desk position or equivalent support function.
- Can multitask and manage projects in a cross functional environment.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
- Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
- Maintains confidentiality while processing and handling confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrated or has previous experience installing, configuring, and supporting operating systems, PCs, printers and other hardware.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to install network lines with termination to a patch panel – etc. Cat5e.
- Ability to troubleshoot common networking problems and has knowledge of networking. (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Knowledge in Windows operating systems, MS Office applications, and Google GSuite management and applications.
- Proven ability to communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
