 CCSC – Technology Coordinator

Description:
The Technology Coordinator is responsible for managing, administering, and repairing various technology issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with school staff by responding to various IT issues, documenting issues, and performing troubleshooting.
  • Work with elementary and middle-aged students.
  • Work closely with Technology Director to resolve IT related issues.
  • Provide technical care for any aspect of information systems, including system hardware, operating systems, applications and networks.
  • Serve as a building level contact for any system-related issues.
  • Escalate incidents with accurate documentation when required.
  • Learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the school corporation.
  • Setting up equipment as needed including desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, phones.
  • Preventative maintenance and monitoring on hardware and software with appropriate upgrades and updates.
  • Help maintain network equipment and network connections.

Job Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in an IT Help Desk position or equivalent support function.
  • Can multitask and manage projects in a cross functional environment.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
  • Maintains confidentiality while processing and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated or has previous experience installing, configuring, and supporting operating systems, PCs, printers and other hardware.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to install network lines with termination to a patch panel – etc. Cat5e.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common networking problems and has knowledge of networking. (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Windows operating systems, MS Office applications, and Google GSuite management and applications.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
