While the journey may be hard, and the road long, our success is bolstered by those individuals God graces us with in our lives. During this past year he has blessed our children, staff, and school – community with the presence of a wonderful individual, J. R. Haskins. Mr. Haskins’s love and care for the children of Covington was genuine, while standing at the forefront of every decision he pondered.
After much consideration, and with mixed emotions, Mr. Haskins has made the decision to return to Tri – County High School, where he will serve as building principal. Mr. Haskins is very familiar with Tri – County schools, having spent 35 years serving in a variety of capacities, which included coaching and teaching, within the corporation, prior to joining the Covington leadership team last summer.
While disappointed in the loss for our children and school – community, I am grateful for the year God gave J. R. Haskins to serve Covington. His commitment to educational excellence served him well during the past school year and I am confident J. R. will continue to attain much success in his new role. On behalf of our children, parents, school board, and school – community I wish him well. May God Bless J. R. Haskins with love, grace, and success.
