Su: Facility Improvement Project Update
Good day. I hope and trust this finds everyone doing well.
Earlier this summer I provided information regarding the facility improvement projects underway across the school corporation. The projects have progressed, with only a few issues occurring up to this point and time.
As such, I offer the following status updates for your awareness:
Regarding the canopy work, this project is projected to last eight (8) weeks, requiring the closure of the front entrance to the elementary school during the first half of the remodeling. With this, the school bus drop off location will move to the south entrance, on 7th Street during the four week period. Buses will arrive to the drop off point via Pearl Street, stopping at the entrance gate for unloading.
Additional information on how the project may impact you will be forthcoming.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. I appreciate your patience and understanding.
In summary, I could not be more pleased with the work of our contractors. The general contractor, JR Kelly, has been outstanding to work with and their project management expertise has proved to be in a category of “Best of the Best”.
I am excited for our staff and students to have the opportunity to benefit from their improved learning environments. After all, they deserve the absolute best.
Thank you.
Kevin
