PRESS RELEASE
August 15, 2020
From: CCSC Athletic Department
To: Covington Community
Re: Athletic Contest Attendance Policy
As the Covington athletic teams return to play on our courts and fields, there are local and state guidelines that must be adhered to with respect to the Covid-19 virus. One of those guidelines pertains to the number of spectators that we will permit to be in attendance at our athletic events. In staying beneath the required capacity of 250 spectators, the CCSC administrative team has adopted the following guidelines for our home contests:
• At home contests with a visiting team, only players, cheerleaders, and dance team parents will be permitted to attend those events. (i.e. – 2 tickets per student-athlete)
• At home contests without a visiting team (i.e. – an intra-squad scrimmage or practice), four family members per player will be permitted to be in attendance as this is categorized as an organized practice with only Covington families in attendance.
• At both of the above described events, spectators are asked to sit in family cohort groups.
• For the safety of everyone in attendance, spectators and event staff shall wear masks at all times and practice appropriate social distancing measures.
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to provide a safe playing experience for our teams and athletes.
