TEXTBOOK RENTAL CAN BE PAID BY SENDING AN ENVELOPE WITH YOUR CHILD OR THROUGH HARMONY3 ON OUR SCHOOL WEBSITE.
ABSENCES—–PLEASE CALL AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, BEFORE 9A.M. 765-793-2254. USING THE PROMPTS #3 FOR CES THEN #1 TO LEAVE A DETAILED MESSAGE FOR NURSE PINKERTON. PLEASE INCLUDE… CHILD’S SYMPTOMS AND WHETHER THEY HAVE A FEVER OVER 100.4. USING THIS PROCEDURE WILL SAVE MANY PHONE CALLS BACK AND FORTH TO FIND OUT THIS INFORMATION. THIS CAN BE DONE AT ANYTIME DAY/NIGHT – THE EARLIER THE PARENT CALLS WILL GIVE THE NURSE TIME TO MAKE DECISIONS. THANK YOU!

BREAKFAST/LUNCH PRICES HAVE CHANGED SINCE LAST YEAR:
Student breakfast $1.50, Student reduced .30, Adult Breakfast $1.85…..Student lunch $2.35, Student reduced .40, Adult Lunch $3.75 Extra Milk .50
School begins at 8:05a.m. and will release students at 2:55p.m.
Every Wednesday students will be dismissed early at 2:25p.m.
PLEASE LET YOUR CHILD(S) TEACHER KNOW IF THEY ARE TO HAVE BREAKFAST AT SCHOOL.
*Due to social distancing protocols, the doors will remained locked until 7:45am. Students will not be allowed in the building prior to this time! Once inside the building, students are asked to report directly to their classroom.
CROSSING GUARDS AND CAR RIDER DOORS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 7:50 – 8:00 IN THE MORNING. After this time, please drive around to the front of the building to drop off your child for school.
TRANSPORTATION CHANGES NEED TO BE SENT TO THE CHILD’S TEACHER. WE WILL NOT ALLOW STUDENTS TO CHANGE HIS/HER REGULAR ROUTINE WITHOUT A NOTE OR PHONE CALL TO THE OFFICE. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD/REN. DUE TO LIMITED SPACE, IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT A REGULAR BUS RIDER HE/SHE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RIDE THE BUS FOR REASONS SUCH AS SLEEPOVERS OR BIRTHDAY PARTIES, ETC.
ONLY NECESSARY VISITORS WILL BE PERMITTED INTO THE BUILDING. PLEASE RING THE BUZZER AT THE FRONT OFFICE. THANK YOU!
TREATS BROUGHT IN FOR THE STUDENTS NEED TO BE PRE-PACKAGED FROM A STORE. PLEASE REMEMBER FOR PROTOCOL THE TREATS MUST SIT IN THE OFFICE FOR 2 DAYS BEFORE GIVING TO THE CLASSROOM.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT DRIVE IN …. Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Meet with local Police Officers, Fireman, First Responders, local organizations and more. Enter to win prizes, and free hotdogs. Event will be held at the Fountain County 4-H Fair grounds from 5p.m. to 8p.m. EST. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
The Covington United Methodist Church is coordinating the 2020 Community Winter Coat Give-A-Way that will take place on Tuesday, October 13th through Friday, October 16th at the Fountain County Courthouse from 8:30am to 3:00pm each day or while supplies last. In order to support their efforts, the Covington Community School Corporation will be collecting coats on Wednesday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept 25. The collection box will be positioned on the back patio of the former Administration Office (the white house) located at 1022 6th Street.
The Danville YMCA will be holding a Basketball Development Camp on October 2, 2020 from 9am to 12pm (IL. Time) for grades 1-3. You may fill out the registration form (blue paper) that was sent home this past week or email completed form to: email@example.com. Payment of $25.00/player will be due at event. Registration Deadline will be Friday, Sept 18, 2020. Check in time 8:30am and snacks will be provided. Durrell Robinson DHS boys Varsity head coach, will be the instructor.
