Covington High School Announcements
Please join Caleb Ellmore and his family this afternoon in the MPR as he signs his athletic letter of intent to play football in college.
The signing will take place at 3:00pm.
FFA members sign up your team for the 2020 chapter corn hole tournament on Tuesday, February 25th.
There will be a Dance Team callout on Monday, February 24 during Homeroom in the Student Lounge.
Dance Team tryouts for the 2020-2021 school year will be held on Friday, March 13th at 5:00pm.
The Covington Music Department is putting on a Basket Raffle worth $255! Tickets are $1 for 1 and $5 for 6. Winner will be announced at the February 28 home game against Crawfordsville. If you are interested, please see Mr. Hartzog.
On Monday, February 24, the Covington Music Department will be hosting their Winter Showcase concert in the MPR at 7pm.
The Senior Flower Committee will meet Thursday, February 20 during Homeroom in the Clothing Room.
There will be a Spanish Club call out meeting Friday, February 21st during Homeroom in Ms. Girdler’s room. Those that are interested in joining should attend.
The Badlands Off-Road Park in Attica is looking for part time help. Students interested in applying should stop by their office and pick up an application.
Weekend Red Cross Lifeguard class @ Fountain Central HS in Veedersburg, IN, just off I-74 & US-41, is now open for registration (starts Feb. 15). Lifeguarding is a tremendous summer and often year round job. Guards find work in local community, school, YMCA, state parks, and college pools. You must be 15 by April 1st 2020, and strong swimmer, able to pass a swimming test. Adults (teachers, coaches) are welcome. There is also renewal class March 1st also for current lifeguards.
Please remember to check your lunch balance in Harmony. If you are in the minus NO extras or seconds. If your balance is over -$15.00, you will be given an alternate lunch, which includes a PB&J with a vegetable, fruit & milk.
The date for the Prom is Saturday, April 25 at the Beef House from 7:00 to 11:00 pm.
Covington High School 2020 yearbooks are now on sale. Cost is $50.00 You may pick up an order form in the high school office or order online at yearbookforever.com. Deadline date to order is March 20, 2020.
The 2019 Yearbooks have arrived. Graduates may pick them up from Mrs. Gee.

The 62nd Annual CHS Honor Banquet is March 12, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at the Beef House Banquet Hall. Please note this is before Spring Break. Tickets are $16.00 each and may be purchased at Covington High School now through February 21st. Due to the overwhelming number of honorees, tickets will be limited to two per student; once all students have purchased tickets, additional tickets (up to two more per student) MAY be available on a first come first serve basis, February 24th through February 28th. Seats will be assigned once tickets sales end.

The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to hire locally to help with the 2020 Census (part-time and full time jobs available). You must be at least 18, have a valid Social Security number and be a U.S. citizen. See Mrs. Myers or Mr. Ballard for more information, or go to 2020census.gov/jobs.
