Covington High School Announcements
Today
There will be a Football team callout for grades 9 thru 11 today during Homeroom in the
Varsity Gym.
Madison Pippen was the winner of the $25 gift card from the dance. Please see Mrs. Martin
in the Middle School to pick it up.
Congratulations to Emily Bonner, Bernadette Goeppner, and Will Royce for representing Covington Community High School at the Indiana State University All-Star Honor Band this weekend! Great job! You represented Covington very well!
Congratulations to Ashlynn Livengood on a second place finish in diving at WRC. The swim team finishes its regular season on Monday, Feb. 3 with Senior night at Attica.
Any student who has signed up for the SAT School Day on Wednesday, March 4th – payment is due to Mrs. Linville by Wednesday, January 29th.
There will be a girls tennis call out in Mrs. Cotten’s room on Wednesday, January 29th during Homeroom.

REMINDERS
Doug’s Studio will be here the morning of Thursday, February 6th to take senior portraits for the
yearbook. Seniors remember that you should dress appropriately for the picture as these are thepictures that will be in the yearbook and on the Composite in the hall. Boys should wear a shirt with collar or a shirt and tie. No tshirts.
Weekend Red Cross Lifeguard class @ Fountain Central HS in Veedersburg, IN, just off I-74 & US-41, is now open for registration (starts Feb. 15). Lifeguarding is a tremendous summer and
often year round job. Guards find work in local community, school, YMCA, state parks, and college pools. You must be 15 by April 1st 2020, and strong swimmer, able to pass a swimming test. Adults (teachers, coaches) are welcome. Download a registration flier at Crew272.org (follow the Lifeguard links – 2 clicks in) or text the instructor at 765-295-1548 for more information.
Please remember to check your lunch balance in Harmony. If you are in the minus NO extras or seconds. If your balance is over -$15.00, you will be given an alternate lunch, which includes a PB&J with a vegetable, fruit & milk.
The date for the Prom is Saturday, April 25 at the Beef House from 7:00 to 11:00 pm.
Covington High School 2020 yearbooks are now on sale. Cost is $50.00 You may pick up an order form in the high school office or order online at yearbookforever.com. Deadline date to order is March 20, 2020.
The 2019 Yearbooks have arrived. Graduates may pick them up from Mrs. Gee.
There several 2019 yearbooks left for purchase. If you would like to purchase
one the cost is $50.00.

Guidance:
The SAT will be offered the morning of Wednesday, March 4th. Any junior or senior interested in taking the test should sign-up in the guidance office. The deadline for signing up and payment is January 29th. The cost is $49.50 (checks payable to Covington High School) – checks should be given to Mrs. Linville. A limited number of fee waivers (cost will still be $8) are available for students who qualify. Students should see Mrs. Myers to request a fee waiver.
