DOCUMENT TEXT - FROM FOUNTAIN & WARREN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

March 10, 2020

The Fountain & Warren County Health Department, is issuing an alert to the following travelers:

• Travelers going outside of the United States
• Travelers visiting high risk areas for COVID-19 exposure in the United States (see below)
• Travelers whose plans involve ANY cruise ship travel

These individuals should observe a fourteen (14) day period of isolation upon their return. This period will prohibit attendance at all public events, school events and functions including extracurricular practices or events.

There will be no exceptions to this recommended isolation based on symptoms, lack of symptoms, or negative testing.

High Risk Areas in the United States as of 3/10/2020 (subject to change without notice):
California
New York
Massachusetts
Oregon
Washington

Additionally, high risk groups: Individuals over age 60 or those wit,h chronic disease (lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, etc.) should limit unnecessary travel, and make arrangements for prolonged periods of isolation in your home.

Simple steps taken at this time may help to shorten the course of this pandemic and help us to resume "normal life" at an earlier date. Reasonable restrictions at this time may save lives, businesses, and other items we value.

Respectfully,

Sean P. Sharma, MD
Health Officer
