In order to help Covington Schools, as related to the growing concerns in the United States with the coronavirus outbreak, each of you will be receiving communication asking you to provide information related to your travel plans between now and the end of March. Further, if you do plan to travel during this period of time, it would be helpful to know your final destination.

March 10, 2020
The Fountain & Warren County Health Department, is issuing an alert to the following travelers:
• Travelers going outside of the United States
• Travelers visiting high risk areas for COVID-19 exposure in the United States (see below)
• Travelers whose plans involve ANY cruise ship travel
These individuals should observe a fourteen (14) day period of isolation upon their return. This
period will prohibit attendance at all public events, school events and functions including extracurricular
practices or events.
There will be no exceptions to this recommended isolation based on symptoms, lack of
symptoms, or negative testing.
High Risk Areas in the United States as of 3/10/2020 (subject to change without notice):
California
New York
Massachusetts
Oregon
Washington
Additionally, high risk groups: Individuals over age 60 or those wit,h chronic disease (lung
disease, heart disease, diabetes, etc.) should limit unnecessary travel, and make arrangements
for prolonged periods of isolation in your home.
Simple steps taken at this time may help to shorten the course of this pandemic and help us to
resume "normal life" at an earlier date. Reasonable restrictions at this time may save lives,
businesses, and other items we value.
