Please join me in congratulating Ms. Amy Streuer as she moves into her new role as a Kindergarten instructor at the elementary school. Ms. Streuer will begin her new role in the fall after serving as a Preschool instructor during the past seven years.
A graduate of Lakeview College, Ms. Streuer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. With a decision to move her career into education, Amy completed her Transition To Teaching program through Indiana Wesleyan University.
Concerning the new opportunity Ms. Streuer stated:
“I am so appreciative to be given this opportunity to continue to work with the students and staff of the Covington Community School Corporation. A Kindergarten teacher has the role to begin building the foundation of academic and life skills. My love for the students and CES will drive me each day to do my best to teach my students the skills that are necessary to build a strong foundation as well as a love for learning!!”
Ms. Streuer has two children, Ethan (16) and Addison (13). They reside in Covington.
I am excited for Amy as she takes this next step in her educational career.
