Good morning CMS
Lunch today is Lasagna with Meat Sauce, Peas, and Texas Toast.

ATTENTION 8TH GRADERS: Remember that the $200 deposit for the 8th grade trip to Washington DC and Gettysburg is due October 25th. The remaining balance is due January 24th.
Because of Fall Break next week, the middle school football game on Thursday (10-17-19) against Attica (home) has been changed to Tuesday (10-15-19)…game time is still 6:00.
On Monday, October 14th…you will meet with your teachers to download any needed resources to your device and ask any last minute questions about the upcoming E-learning days. If you will not be here on Monday 14th…please touch base with your teachers before you leave school on Friday 11th to make sure you are prepared for the E-learning days.

There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes 5th quarter Friday after the football game at the Complex. All middle school students are invited
Applications are open for 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, honoring students in grades 5-12 for making meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service.
CMS students, if you have volunteered over the past year, consider applying for a 2020 award at www.spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit. Student application deadline is November 5, 2019.
Students: You are not allowed to stop at your lockers first thing in the morning unless you have permission from the office.
The City of Covington is collecting new and gently used winter coats (adult and children
sizes) for its annual coat give-away this fall.
As before, we especially need children’s washable coats sizes infant
through 16, and all sizes of coats for men and women.”
Coats may be brought to the City Building, 1329 Second Street, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm
(EDT) weekdays. The city is also accepting monetary donations for the purchase of winter
coats.
In addition, between September 3rd and September 21st, coats may be donated at these
Covington businesses during regular business hours:
· CentreBank, 315 Washington Street.
· County Market, 301 Third Street.
· Covington Public Library, 622 Fifth Street.
· Industrial Federal Credit Union, 413 East Washington Street.
· Old National Bank, 401 Washington Street.
· Vibrant Credit Union, 417 Liberty Street.
Coat distribution will take place October 1st through January 31st from 8:00 am to
4:00 pm (EST) weekdays, at the City Building, while coat supplies last.
In 2018, the city distributed approximately 400 coats to area residents in need.
