Covington High School Announcements
➽Today is the last day to purchase PROM TICKETS
*Prom tickets are available for purchase in Mrs. Linville’s office. Tickets are $35 for singles and $60 for couples. All Juniors and Seniors may purchase tickets and will be able to bring 1 (one) date.
STAFF: Please buy your tickets soon for prom and/or RSVP to Jennifer Linville, so we can finalize the tables needed for teachers versus kids. Thanks!!
*The Prom committee will meet in Mrs. Coffing’s room during lunch “A” EVERY Thursday unless told otherwise.Cheer tryouts for the 2021-2022 season will be held on Friday, April 23rd after school in the varsity gym.
Practices will begin on Friday, April 16th after school – THIS PRACTICE IS REQUIRED.
Please sign up and pick up a packet from Mrs. Hohenstein. The packet will provide more information and include teacher evaluation forms.

HONORS The 63rd Annual Covington High School Honor Banquet will be held Wednesday,
April 21st at the Beef House Banquet Hall. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, this event will be limited to honor students and CCS administration only. Our plan is to livestream the presentation of awards; if that is not possible, we will record and post it the following day.
The boys golf team went 1-1 last night- Covington 202, Fountain Central 199, and South Newton 235. Nolan Potter was the low scorer with a 35. Other notable scores were William Royce 52 and Isaiah McCarty 57.
Covington Varsity High School Baseball won 28-1 against Attica at home last night. The Trojans play @ Attica on Thursday, @ home vs North Montgomery Friday, and play a Doubleheader @ home vs Parke Heritage Saturday.
The track team competed in a 4-way meet with FC, SV & RP. Congrats to the following event winners: Bradley Lewsader in the high jump & 800 meter run, Rico Mandolini in the long jump, Lauren Vale in the 400 meter dash, Ashlynn Livengood in the 100 meter hurdles, and the girls’ 4×100 meter relay of Ashlynn Livengood, Kenzie Richardson, Sierra Krepton & Lily Mullins. Sam Christoff had a noteworthy performance by finishing 2nd in shot put & 3rd in discus. The next meet is Thursday against Seeger & Attica at 4:30.

The team made some more strides in the right direction with this game. We’re still making some repetitive mistakes, so we need to work on our mindset and learn how to keep making adjustments.
Covington is now 3-3 and will travel to Attica tomorrow night for a 5pm start.
