Anyone wanting to be a Boys Basketball Manager should meet in Coach Ballard’s room today
There will be a meeting for our annual wreath sale today during 5th period homeroom in the MPR. The wreath sale is for all extracurricular activities participants. This includes all sports, cheerleading, dance, band, choir, etc.
With such a positive response to our first call-out meeting, wrestling will have another meeting today to discuss plans for the season. Anyone interested in wrestling, come down to Mr. McCormick’s office at the beginning of homeroom to ask questions and hear what is going on with this year’s team.
Football team should meet after school today at 3:15 at the complex.

Anyone interested in Spirit Lifting for the 2019-2020 season should sign-up in the office and join the cheerleaders for a introductory practice on Thursday, November 7th from 7-8:30pm. Please take an information sheet which includes upcoming practice times and dates. Talk to a current cheerleader for more information.
Any student wanting to discuss a possible schedule change for 2nd semester should see Mrs. Myers ASAP. The deadline for changes is Friday, December 13th. Parent permission will be required for most schedule changes.

Juniors and sophomores attending the FFA National Convention Wednesday, Oct. 30th should report to the Glass Room by 7:30 am Wednesday, October 30th to complete the PSAT prior to leaving.
The Red Ribbon Campaign was started when drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena in 1985. This began the continuing tradition of communities unifying to make a visible commitment towards the creation of a DRUG – FREE AMERICA. Students – check your email of messages throughout the week. Thursday – wear red to symbolize making a commitment to living drug free.
The Covington and Fountain Central Music Departments are having their 2nd Annual “Pack the House” night with the Danville Dashers on November 8th. Watch the Danville Dashers take on the Danbury Titans all while supporting your music department! Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from Mrs. Gee at the front desk!.
Covington High School 2020 yearbooks are now on sale. Cost is $45.00. Price increases to $50.00
on November 26, 2019. You may pick up an order form in the high school office or order online

The City of Covington is collecting new and gently used winter coats (adult and children
sizes) for its annual coat give-away this fall.
As before, we especially need children’s washable coats sizes infant
through 16, and all sizes of coats for men and women.”
Coats may be brought to the City Building, 1329 Second Street, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm
(EDT) weekdays. The city is also accepting monetary donations for the purchase of winter
Sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT the morning of Wednesday, October 30.
