The Senior group picture committee will meet today in the student lounge during Homeroom.
FFA Members attending national convention please report to the annex at 11:30 during homeroom tomorrow Friday Oct 4th. If you you are unable to attend please make sure to stop by Mr. Myer’s room sometime Friday.
The boys tennis team won their first game of the sectional with a 4-1 win over Benton Central. Winners were Calvin Springer, Evan Norton, Nolan Potter, Myles Potter, Eli Batley, and Jackson Kindell. They play Attica tonight at 4:30 in the sectional semi-finals. Good luck guys.
The Covington Varsity/JV Volleyball teams will be hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser during the Volleyball game with Attica tonight.
Sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT the morning of Wednesday, October 30th.
Fall sports awards is scheduled for Monday, November 4 at 7:00.
Friday, October 4 is the last day to order Cross Country T shirts, T shirt Hoodies, and sweatshirts in various color options.. Order forms are available on Mrs. Gee’s desk in the atrium. Payment must be made when ordering.
4-H Jr Leader Kickoff on Monday October 14th at 6:30 pm will be held at the Fountain County Fairgrounds.
The wrestling team will be playing paintball l on Saturday, Oct. 5 up in Attica. Any CHS student who thinks they might wrestle is welcome to join the team on Oct. 5.
There is a sheet in the front office to sign up for this trip.
Covington High School 2020 yearbooks are now on sale. Cost is $45.00. Price increases to $50.00
on November 26, 2019. You may pick up an order form in the high school office or order online
at yearbookforever.com. Deadline date to order is March 20, 2020
The academic juniors are hosting a Parents’ Night Out, Kids’ Night In fun night to raise money for the Gettysburg trip! The activity night is for grades k-5 and will be on Saturday, October 19th from 6:00-8:30 P.M. Sign your child in at 5:45 at the atrium entrance. Join the high schoolers for a night filled with games, snacks, and fun! The cost is $10 per student.
Fountain County 4-H Enrollment
It’s here! 4-H enrollment has officially started for the 2020 fair year, and we want you to be a part of it.
Getting enrolled is simple! Just sign up using the link below, and watch as your child becomes part of a life changing organization. The 4-H program prides itself on teaching your child responsibility and hard work while also building and contributing to our community. All of this is in addition to the memories and lasting friendships your child will make along the way.
So which 4-H program is right for your kiddo? Fountain County Mighty Mini 4-H is open to all kids currently enrolled in 1st & 2nd grades. Regular 4-H is open to all kids currently enrolled in 3rd thru 12th grades. We offer over 50 different projects for kids to choose from ranging from model rockets and cake decorating to legos and arts and crafts. With a wide array of projects there is literally something for everyone, and we at the Extension Office (765-793-6240) would be happy to go through all the projects that we offer to see what is the best fit for your kiddo.

The City of Covington is collecting new and gently used winter coats (adult and children
sizes) for its annual coat give-away this fall.
As before, we especially need children’s washable coats sizes infant
through 16, and all sizes of coats for men and women.”
Coats may be brought to the City Building, 1329 Second Street, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm
(EDT) weekdays. The city is also accepting monetary donations for the purchase of winter
