Covington High School Announcements
Today during Homeroom there will be a meeting in the commons area by the office for the prom committee and any juniors or seniors interested in hearing some ideas for this year’s After Prom.
REMINDER: The time changes this weekend. Remember to “Fall Back” one hour on Sunday.
The Senior Class Flower, color, and motto committee will meet on Tuesday, November 5 during
Homeroom in the clothing room.
Any wrestler who needs to complete their concussion baseline testing should meet Mr. Dobrowolski after school by the front office on Monday.”
The wrestling season will begin next/this Tuesday. Any student wishing to come out for the team should come down to the main gym hallway after school. We will pass out wrestling information, answer questions, and work on the wrestling room. Coach McCormick is shooting for 24 wrestlers on the team this season which will set a new CHS record. Even if you don’t know anything about the sport of wrestling, come out and join the team. We will teach you how to wrestle. Look forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday!
Any athlete or Extra-Curricular participant may pick up wreath sale forms from Coach Field.
All students going on the Gettysburg trip need to meet in Mrs. Cotten’s room on Monday, November 4 during Homeroom.
Veterans’ Day Program will be Monday, November 11th at 9:00 a.m. in the high school gym.
Anyone interested in Spirit Lifting for the 2019-2020 season should sign-up in the office and join the cheerleaders for an introductory practice on Thursday, November 7th from 7-8:30pm. Please take an information sheet which includes upcoming practice times and dates. Talk to a current cheerleader for more information.
Any student wanting to discuss a possible schedule change for 2nd semester should see Mrs. Myers ASAP. The deadline for changes is Friday, December 13th. Parent permission will be required for most schedule changes.
The Salvation Army is in need of students to sign up to be Bell Ringers for the Red Kettle Christmas campaign. Students should check the school website for a link to sign up. Or you may call Sara Wheeler at 765-366-6609.
The Covington and Fountain Central Music Departments are having their 2nd Annual “Pack the House” night with the Danville Dashers on November 8th. Watch the Danville Dashers take on the Danbury Titans all while supporting your music department! Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from Mrs. Gee at the front desk!.
Covington High School 2020 yearbooks are now on sale. Cost is $45.00. Price increases to $50.00
on November 26, 2019. You may pick up an order form in the high school office or order online
at yearbookforever.com. Deadline date to order is March 20, 2020.

The City of Covington is collecting new and gently used winter coats (adult and children
sizes) for its annual coat give-away this fall.
As before, we especially need children’s washable coats sizes infant
through 16, and all sizes of coats for men and women.”
Coats may be brought to the City Building, 1329 Second Street, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm
