I have many beliefs regarding education and its value to the livelihood of the individual students we touch on a daily basis.  Though I will not explain all of them in this brief introductory statement, I would like to touch on one of them…the importance of community involvement.

One of the main reasons I am excited to be the principal of Covington High School is how the community has proven over and over again how much it values education and how much it values future learning opportunities for students.  The immeasurable life lessons provided by members of our community encourage our children and young adults to take part in the many civic responsibilities they may encounter when they leave Covington High School.  When students can gain insight into the “real world,” it gives them an idea about why school is important.

Each and every day I look forward to working with the students, the staff, and the community of Covington.  I truly believe that education must be a combination of student roles, community/family support, and teacher dedication.
