Covington High School Announcements

The Senior Group Picture Committee will organize on Tuesday, Oct. 4 during Home Room in the Commons. Please bring ideas for places to get your picture taken.

Congratulations to the Boys Tennis team for winning the tennis sectional against Fountain Central 3-2. With the score tied at 2-2 it was all up to Emmett Reynolds. He lost the first set and then came back and won the 2nd set and then the 3rd set 6-4. Other varsity winners were Evan Norton, Myles Potter, and Jackson Kindell.

The tennis team will play Owen Valley Tuesday, 10/4 @ 5 pm in the first game of the Regional at Crawfordsville High School. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the gate or the following link. https://gofan.co/app/events/722124?schoolId=IN542

For the eleventh consecutive year, the Covington National Honor Society will be providing a complete Thanksgiving meal to 100 families in our community who are in need. Our cost of the dinner is approximately $25 and all dinners are funded by donations. Those who would like to donate to help supply the meals should contact a NHS member. If you do not know our members, you may mail or bring a check to the high school, or contact the high school office at 765-793-2286 to make alternate arrangements.

This year, the WRC Choral Festival will be held on Thursday, October 6th, at Seeger Jr./Sr. High School. The choir will be leaving CHS around 11:00am, and will return to Covington around 8:30-9:00pm. This year’s CHS Choir consists of the following students:
Savannah Bishop Ariana Bullinger
Zachary Eaton Hailey Hoaks
Aiden Miller Rorie Ragsdale

Teachers, please make sure that these students receive any necessary homework, notes, etc. either before or after the festival at your discretion. Please note that for the choir students, attending this event is a required component of the choir class.

If you would like to attend the WRC Festival concert that night, it will begin at 7pm at Seeger HS. I will begin a pre-sale of the concert tickets on Monday October 3rd (students $2, adults $3), with at-the-door tickets costing $5.

First Church of Christ in Covington will be continuing the Coats For Kids ministry this year. The giveaway will be held at the 5th St Church of Christ, October 23-28, with times of 9 am to 4 pm.
